The historic center and surrounding town, known officially by its Colonial designation of Town of Bath, have a population of 633. Most people know Bath by its postal service designation of Berkeley Springs. About 2,500 people live in the historic area, plus the surrounding outskirts. Berkeley Springs is the county seat of Morgan County.
