Two magistrates are elected for four-year terms with jurisdiction over all misdemeanor and minor civil matters, along with initial hearings for all felonies. Located in the Courthouse Complex, phone 304-258-8631.

Morgan County is served by the 23rd Circuit Court.
The Circuit Court has elected judges (eight-year term) and hears cases in Morgan County in tri-yearly sessions beginning the first Tuesday of January, April and September.
The Prosecuting Attorney is elected to serve a four-year term.
