Cacapon State Park offers a wide range of recreation.:
Golf: Cacapon State Park offers an 18 hole Robert Trent Jones golf course with 72 sand traps and a driving range. There is a clubhouse with a pro shop and snack bar. There are also full time golf professionals at your service. Starting times required daily. 10% Senior Citizen discount is available for individuals 60 years and over.
Wobble Clay Range: Open daily 10am-4pm by appointment. Walk in's taken depending on circumstance, check with lodge front desk for availability. Reservation must be made by 11pm on the prior day and can be made up to one month in advance. Deposit required at time of reservation. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and be able to demonsstrate prodiciency with firearms. Check for additional restrictions.
Boating: Cacapon has both paddle and row boats available. Privately owned boats may be used on the park's lake. Check with the park for current rental rates and boat dock hours.
Swimming: Cacapon has a lake for swimming with a beach area, bath house with showers and a snack bar.
Horseback Riding: Guided tour rides. Check at park for current rates and stable hours.
Tennis, volleyball and basketball: Courts available for no charge; bring your own equipment. A softball field is located in the picnic circle.
Horseshoes: Horseshoe pits are located throughout the picnic area. Provide your own equipment.
Fishing: There are two lakes at Cacapon for fishing. One is stocked. There is no charge for fishing, however, a state fishing license is required and may be obtained at the park's front desk in the main lodge. Any person who has not reached their 15th birthday is not required to hav a license.
