Automobile Registration

Residents of West Virginia must title and register their vehicles with the Division of Motor Vehicles. Vehicles without liens may be titled and registered by mail or in person at one of the DMV Regional Offices. A dealer may also take care of the paperwork on your behalf.
New residents must have their vehicles titled and registered within thirty (30) days of establishing residency.
The registration fee for passenger vehicles and pickup trucks weighing 8,000 pounds or less is $30.
You receive a license plate and registration card.
Keep registration card in vehicle at all times.
