AUTOMOBILE REGISTRATION

New residents must have their vehicles titled and registered within thirty (30) days of establishing residency.

Cars are taxed as personal property.
Vehicles without liens may be titled & registered by mail or in person at a DMV Regional Office.

A dealer may also take care of the paperwork on your behalf.
The registration fee for passenger vehicles and pickup trucks weighing 8,000 pounds or less is $30.

You receive a license plate and registration card.
Keep registration card in vehicle at all times.
