DRIVER'S LICENSE

Out-of-state drivers license is valid for 30 days.
You can transfer a valid non-expired out-of -state license. You must pass a vision test, complete alcohol awareness course & surrender your out-of state license.
You must present acceptable documents that are required:
      *A certified birth certificate.
      *Social Security Card/Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (non-laminated, non-metal).
      *Two proofs of West Virginia physical address (utility bills, mortgage papers, voters registration card, etc. with your physical address not P.O. Box)
      *If the applicant is under the age of 18 and is applying for a instruction permit or license, a valid school enrollment form is also required.
      *If the applicant’s name has changed, then an original or a certified copy of a marriage certificate, divorce decree, or court order is also required.
A written examination is also required for applicants under the age of 18.
