Municipal business licenses: Bath-$5.00-$25.00 (most average $15) , call 258-1198 for information; Paw Paw - $15-150 plus Business & Occupational Tax, call 947-7476 for information.

Dogs are licensed annually and required to have rabies shot. There is also a county leash law. The Morgan County Humane Society maintains an animal shelter on Route 522 (258-5592); the county's dog warden is at 258-6363.

Marriage: Marriages may be performed by an ordained minister or judge. A license is required from the County Clerk, phone 258-8547. To get a license, both parties must be present, and show proof of age. Persons under 18 require written consent of parent or guardian. There is no waiting period. Licenses cost $36 and are valid for 60 days.

Hunting & Fishing: License required for everyone 15 to 65 to hunt or fish in West Virginia. Additional information available at the Courthouse, phone 258-8547 or www.wvdnr.gov
